Responding to fires

Disaster Action Team members from the American Red Cross Lower Bucks County Chapter are on the scene of a large apartment fire at Bucks Landing Apartments (120 Street Road, Warminster, PA).  The first team of disaster responders assisted 32 clients earlier in the day.  A second team is arriving at the location to assist more clients.  Red Cross Disaster Action Team members met with the affected residents to ensure that all disaster caused emergency needs were met.  Caseworkers will continue to follow up with clients to assist with the recovery efforts and to provide additional assistance and referrals based on recovery plans.

All American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the Lower Bucks community.  Be safe during the summer months by preparing for home fires and other disasters.  The Lower Bucks County Chapter of the American Red Cross has seen a marked increase in fire responses this year.  Information regarding home emergency plans is located on the Chapter’s website www.RedCrossLBCC.org  Preparedness information for individuals and groups can also be obtained by calling 215-946-4870 ext 105.
